| doing tricks in/on public places. open up skate parks to prevent the damage of public property. "We're trying to come up with a solution to get kids to race on the drag strip, not on the street," said Tony Trimp, who operates the raceway. "We're trying to get into local high schools, but some administrators don't like it because they think it promotes street racing, and I completely disagree. If you can get in there and educate them about it ... it keeps people alive." okay, so it's NOT entirely similar. there's not much dying or killing going on in skating/blading. it'd be nice to have more local drag strips and tracks. now, should our tax money go into making these things? only a select few will be using it. it does benefit the safety of public roads if more people use the drag strips and tracks (over public roads).
